BAHAWALPUR, May 2: The Civil Lines police registered a case on Tuesday against a union council nazim and his 40 associates on the charge of resorting to firing in order to grab a plot near Saddar Pulli.
The police said UC-2 city nazim Malik Muhammad Aslam, who is also a district public safety commission member, along with his 40 accomplices, attempted to grab a plot belonging to Ghulam Mustafa Kamal on Baghdad Road. They injured two tenants working there.
The police registered the case under sections 324, 146 and 149 of PPC against Aslam, Mian Farzand Ali, Azam and others. The police claimed that they arrested 11 of the suspects.
