PML-N, MMA anti-govt drive soon: Shahbaz

LONDON, May 1: Pakistan Muslim League-N president Shahbaz Sharif has said his party is in constant contact with the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and both the parties have agreed on a one-point agenda to initiate an anti-government movement.

Talking to journalists after Jatoi-Mazari meeting with Nawaz Sharif, he said the meeting was “mere social interaction” between the three political heavyweights which focused on Balochistan and Waziristan crises, inflation and political situation in Pakistan.

He said the PML-N and the MMA had consensus over steps to alleviate poverty in the country and restore the 1973 Constitution in its original form.

He said the Nawaz Sharif-Benazir Bhutto meeting, to be held on July 14, would focus on how to ensure participation of Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmad in the All-Parties Conference to be held by the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy.—Online
