HYDERABAD, May 1: The grief-stricken wife of an Indian engineer beheaded by the Taliban attempted to commit suicide by drinking a bottle of insecticide on Monday.
The condition of Manjula Suryanarayan, wife of the slain telecommunications engineer, Kasula Suryanarayan, was reported to be stable.
The incident occurred hours before Suryanarayan’s body was flown to Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, where the family lived with their two daughters and a son.—Reuters
