Mudassar claims crown

ISLAMABAD, April 30: Mudassar Mushtaq claimed singles crown in the POF Open badminton tournament by defeating Hassan Raza in the final at the POF Sports Complex on Sunday. Hassan put up strong resistance but lost to Mudassar 15-12, 11-15, 15-7.

Doubles title went to the team of Hassan Raza and Zaheer who outplayed Sajjad and Aftar 15-8, 15-4.

Meanwhile, the POF Sports Control Board is to hold a Labour Day cycle race on Monday and an open table tennis tournament from Tuesday.

The table tennis event comprises events for under-20 boys, men's singles, doubles and team competitions.
