Local Taliban commander arrested
TANK, April 30: A local Taliban commander and his two guards have been arrested after being injured in a firing incident. According to sources, Taliban commander Asmatullah Bhittani with two guards was going somewhere in a car when they came under fire in the Tank area on Sunday.
They were injured and taken to a private hospital in Wana, the headquarters of South Waziristan Agency, where they received medical treatment.
As they were returning to Jandola, where Asmatullah had been based, paramilitary forces stopped them at Tanai check-post and arrested them.
