HARIPUR, April 30: The first government-run homoeopathic dispensary in the district would start functioning here this week, District Nazim Yousuf Ayub Khan told a delegation of the Pakistan Homoeopathic Association on Saturday. The nazim said that the dispensary would be set up on an experimental basis in the premises of the District Headquarters Hospital and the practice would be later replicated in other hospitals of the district, particularly in rural areas. However, he said that the future of homoeopathy in Haripur would depend on public response and its success.

The nazim said that if proved successful and helpful in extending healthcare to the people, the facilities would be extended to rural parts of the district where poor attendance of doctors and paramedics in the basic health units and civil dispensaries had become a major problem.
