Peshawar in final

ISLAMABAD, April 20: Peshawar moved into the final of the PTV Inter-Centre Cricket Championship with a 25-run defeat of PTV World at the Shalimar Ground on Thursday.

In scoring victory Peshawar collected the highest total of the competition totalling 240 for six in their allotted 35 overs. Azam Khan topscored with 73 followed by Zia who struck 53 runs.

PTV World did make a bold reply mainly through their captain Ali who hit up 80 but in the end the side could manage 215 for the loss of eight wickets.

Quraish was the main wicket-taker and snapped up three wickets while Khalid Sultan took two.

The second semifinal between PTV Headquarters and PTV Academy is to be played on Friday.
