CAIRO, April 12: Arab foreign ministers met in Cairo on Wednesday to try to draw up a common strategy on Iraq, but the talks were boycotted by Baghdad in protest against outspoken criticism of its government by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

The meeting was called to discuss ‘the dangerous internal situation in Iraq’ and urge Iraqis ‘to put an end to violence’, said the Egyptian foreign minister.—AFP
