Ban on medical representatives

MIRPURKHAS, April 1: The Sindh health department has banned meeting of pharmaceutical representatives with doctors in the government hospitals throughout Sindh between 8.00am to 12.30pm.

The EDOs of health and medical superintendents of government hospitals have been directed to ensure the imposition of ban so that doctors should give more attention to patients.

The EDO of Health Mirpurkhas, Dr Hadi Bux Laghari, said that the directives would be complied with.

DOCTORS DAY: The Pakistan Medical Association, Mirpurkhas, met here on Thursday to mark the World Doctors Day.

The meeting was presided over by Dr Abdul Majeed Memon.

It demanded of the government to appoint midwives, nurses, paramedical staff and doctors on emergency basis to meet shortage of health care staff in health centres and hospitals.
