QUETTA, March 30: Chief of Jamhoori Watan Party Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti has said no threats can force him to beg for negotiations because no Baloch has ever yielded to government's pressure.
In a statement issued here late on Thursday night, he said the people of the province had been facing 'state terrorism' for a long time. What was surprising, he added, was that the government was trying to give an impression that it had refused to hold talks with Baloch leaders.
"We are ready to face all eventualities. We cannot be intimated to beg for talks", he declared.
Nawab Bugti also said that the government was making false claims about seizing arms and ammunition from his fort which had been completely destroyed by bombardment three months ago. "No Baloch can leave his arms behind.
He also denied reports about people returning to Dera Bugti. Only a few government employees might have returned, he said.
Referring to the recent visits of the president and the prime minister to the province, he said one of them announced a package while the other repeated his threats.
