PPDA assured of fair deal on margins


KARACHI, March 30: Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources, Ahmed Waqar on Thursday advised the petrol pump owners and dealers to formulate proposals to address their concerns arising from the recent rationalization of their margins calculation.

He was speaking at a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) led by Its chairman Abdul Sami Khan at the PSO House. Dealers from all over the country attended the meeting.

Director General (Oil), Sabar Hussain, PSO Managing Director, Jalees Ahmed Siddiqui and other PSO officials were also present.

The secretary petroleum appreciated the dealers’ efforts towards maintaining the quality standards and providing better services to the customers. He also lauded the PPDA for deciding to withdraw the strike call.

Ahmad Waqar assured that the government was ready to consider the genuine demands of the dealers once their proposals were received.

The PPDA highly appreciated the patient hearing of their anxiety on the revision of margins as well as on other business issues by the secretary petroleum.—APP
