PESHAWAR, March 29: The city police chief on Tuesday suspended a deputy superintendent of police on a complaint that he had assaulted a doctor of Khyber Medical Col-lege.
Dr Sayed Khanzada lodged a complaint with Capital City Police Officer Habibur Rehman stating that he was coming from his clinic on March 21 when acting DSP, security, Ehsanuddin, stopped him near his residence in University Town area.
The doctor alleged that the DSP used abusive language and later beat him.
The CCPO initiated an inquiry and after finding the DSP guilty issued the order of his suspension.
ROBBERY BID: Robbers entered the Habib Bank branch in Surizai locality of Badhber on Monday night but failed to break open locks of cash drawers and the safe room, police said.
