KARACHI: No power cut on Eid Milad

KARACHI, March 29: The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation’s city coordination committee met here on Tuesday to review the arrangements for a smooth power supply to consumers during the Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations.

The meeting decided that like the last year, temporary electric connections for illuminations on this auspicious occasion would be provided by area sub-division offices on payment of Rs500 per night.

On the day of Eid Miladun Nabi, no power shutdown would be carried out in the city.

The participants of the meeting decided that standby arrangements would be made at main mosques and Imambargahs for which all feeders would be put on priority and monitored for smooth supply of electricity.

It was pointed out that the staff and MTL vehicles would be available during Eid Milad procession at M. A. Jinnah Road, Saddar and other areas of the metropolis.—APP
