KARACHI, March 29: Three ships including a car carrier, with 885 units are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where three ships, Swat, to unload crude oil, APL Busan, to unload and load containers and Alitis, to offload fertiliser were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Corin Thaikos, Song Yun He, Banglar Mamata, Chitral and Rosita, while Sunniva, APL Busan, Swat, Hyundai Future and Iran Shaharyar are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves showed a modest improvement at 77,006 tons, comprising 27,222 tons of export tonnage, including 9,337 tons of rice and 49,784 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Johar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Festa, with 885 cars, and Yasmin, with 2,452 logs.
