ISLAMABAD, March 28: Pakistan will hold wide-ranging bilateral consultations with Greece and Turkey when top officials of the foreign ministries of the two countries arrive here this week to take relations to a new higher plane. Secretary General of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Charalambos Rocanas, is due in Islamabad on Wednesday for a two-day visit at the invitation of foreign secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan.
“During the visit, the two secretaries will hold first round of bilateral consultations aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries,” a Foreign Office statement said on Tuesday.
The highlight of the visit will be the signing of a protocol of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
Meanwhile, Undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ali Tuygan, will arrive here on Sunday for bilateral political consultations.
