Rocket fired on village house

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, March 28: A rocket was fired on a house in the Khanokhel village here on Monday night. Witnesses said that the house of one Ihsanullah was and partially damaged by the rocket. The owner of the house has registered a case against his rival Tilla Khan.

The motive behind the rocket attack was stated to be an old enmity between the two men.

CAR SNATCHED: Four men snatched a taxi cab (LXS-5137) after holding its driver Tabaruk Hussain at gunpoint in Paharpur area on Monday.

Mr Hussain told police that the gunmen had hired the car for a village in the Paharpur tehsil. Police have registered a case against the unidentified car snatchers.

MAN INJURED: A man identified as Miranshah Mahsud was shot at and injured by his rivals in a graveyard near the district courts here on Tuesday morning.

The injured man told police that he was going to court when he was attacked by his rival Saleh Mohammad Mahsud. He managed to escape when a police patrol car appeared on the scene. In the meantime the man’s attackers had also fled.

A case has been registered at the Cantt police station and an investigation is under way.
