KARACHI, March 28: The current problems of Muslim world can be solved if the rulers utilise their resources against illiteracy and unemployment and spend the money on education and technology. These views were expressed by the visiting former Kuwaiti Auqaf minister, Al-Shaikh Syed Yusuf Al-Hashim Al-Rafai, at a reception hosted by Al-Mustafa Welfare Society here on Tuesday.
He paid tributes to Al-Mustafa Society which gave practical shape to the spirit of service and was rendering medical services regardless of discrimination of cast, colour and creed and won international recognition.
Similarly, Al-Rafai Foundation too is providing services in the fields of health and education in various Muslim countries.
Addressing the reception, Dr Jalaluddin Noori said that Al-Mustafa Society provided academic and practical patronage to teachers not only working in the medical field but also in the research sector.
Haji Hanif Tayyab said that workers were serving the cause of ailing humanity imbibed with the spirit of fear of Allah and love with Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Ahmed Shakoor said the Society not only carried out awareness campaign against fatal diseases, but also provided medicines and operation facilities to patients.
Abdul Ghani Suleman presented a report of the services during relief and rescue operation in the wake of October 8 massive earthquake.
Among others, the reception was also addressed by Dr Ghualm Qadir Fayyaz, Dr Majeedullah, Mushtaq Tanvir, Mumtaz Syedi and Riaz Noori.
Later, the visiting former minister was taken round various sections of Al-Mustafa Medical Centre, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, including the laboratory, blood bank, general ward and dialysis unit. —APP
