RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD, March 27: Four persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents in the twin cities of Rawalpindi-Islamabad on Monday, police said.
A 45-year-old man was shot dead by two persons in the R.A. Bazaar police area.
Mohammad Ashraf was shot dead by two persons at his grocery shop in Dhoke Syedan.
According to the police, the incident was apparently an outcome of old enmity. The culprits are yet to be arrested.
Two motorbike riders were killed after being run over by a wagon in the Kohsar police limits in Bhara Kahu, police and hospital authorities said.
Sohail Ahmed and Faisal Atta were going on motorbike (RLA- 5165) when a recklessly driven wagon knocked them down near Federal Government Services Hospital. They died on the spot while the wagon driver escaped.
A woman pedestrian was killed in road accident in the jurisdiction of the Tarnol police station.
Police said Shahjhan Bibi, 70, was hit by a tractor trolley while she was crossing GT Road. She received multiple injuries and was shifted to hospital where she died of her injuries.
The family of the deceased did not lodge FIR.
Gas explosion: Eight members of a family were burnt critically after a gas cylinder exploded in their house in Bhara Kahu.
The injured included Khalida Bibi, Aheer Ahmed, Haider (5), Tasleem, Ramsha and Hameeda.
