KARACHI: Imtiaz’s plea put off

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, March 27: Justice Ghulam Rabbani of the Sindh High Court on Monday put off hearing of a bail plea of former provincial revenue minister Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh till April 17 and extended the interim bail granted to him till that date.

The adjournment came due to paucity of time. The applicant is among the accused in a double murder case and corruption cases involving fabrication of revenue record. He was admitted to pre-arrest interim bail by the high court in all the cases.

Another bench, comprising Chief Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, adjourned the hearing of bail pleas by alleged members of a builder mafia ordering that the matter of confirmation of bail be placed before the same bench which heard their bail applications and admitted them to pre-arrest interim bail.
