KARACHI, March 25: As many as 457 degrees were awarded at the third graduation ceremony of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Karachi.

The acting president of SZABIST, Dr Javaid R. Leghari, in his address on the occasion held at a local hotel on Saturday, said that the 21st century would be the century of change and that more things would change in the next 10 years than in the previous 100.

He advised the graduating students to help make this world a better place to live for the future generations.

On the occasion, 94 BBA, 57 BCS, 184 MBA, 81 MCS, and 41 MS degrees were awarded. 13 gold medals were also given and the names of recipients are Aamir Dost Mohammad, Abdul Rehman Reimoo, Sultan, Arsaln Mushtaq, Rehana Waheed, Bilal Habib, Nair Ali Khan, Pervaiz Pyar Ali of MCS, Mohammad Babar Siraj, Syed Mohsin Mujtaba Rizvi, Fehmida Bhejani and Ziaul Haq Memon, Irfan Sattar.

There were a number of gold medals sponsored by the corporate sector and were awarded on outstanding performance in specialized subjects to the following students.

Samina Ali (Brand Management); Sadaf Kazi,( Marketing of Financial Services); Bilal Habib (Methods in Business Research); Numira Bana (Pharmaceutical Marketing) and Sarwat Nomani for best marketing graduate.

Dr Leghari also presented 10 years Service Excellence Awards to SZABIST employees, Anwarul Haq, Azra Maqsood, Mohammad Azeem, Ruqaiya Khatoon, Abdul Hafeez Abbasi, M. Sarfaraz, Assemullah and Viram Atto.—APP
