KARACHI, March 25: Six ships carrying general cargo, containers and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was light where two ships to unload containers and to load fresh fruits were berthed after the departure of only one.
QC Wisdom departed on Saturday while a dozen vessels are due to depart on Sunday after loading and unloading cargoes. They are: Trust Busan, Conti Harmony, Golden Jane, Al-Arab, BBC Greece, Maersk Alabama, Sinar Bontang, Orionis, Labbadi, Arun Khetarpal, Med Carrara and Kota Tampan.
A total tonnage of 80,894 tons comprising 31,956 tons of export cargo including 5,233 tons of rice and 1,048 tons of cement and 48,938 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Sunday: A Shekaye, to load 8,000 tons of rice, Bow Cedar, with aviation gas, Corin Thaikos, Tai He, Mar Andresew Swala, with containers, CEC Caledonia, with general cargo.
The following vessels are due on Monday: Sunniva, to load ethanol, Swat, with crude oil, MOL Accord, Song Yun He, MOL Kauri, with containers, Thor Mercury and An Yue Jiang, with general cargo.
