KARACHI: Clarification

Published March 25, 2006

KARACHI, March 24: Architect/engineer Mohammad Yusuf Kureshy’s licence has only been suspended and not cancelled by the Karachi Building Control Authority as reported in these columns on March 7.

His appeal against the suspension order is pending. The report was mainly based on averments made in a plaint and a court notice issued to Mr Kureshy and other defendants in a defamation suit instituted by a lawyer. The averments made by the plaintiff are mere allegations liable to be controverted by the defendants in the course of proceedings.
