LAKKI MARWAT, March 23: A woman has complained that her and her husband’s lives were in danger after the release on bail of three people involved in robbery in her house. Begum Jana and her husband Ismail said at a press conference on Wednesday that accused Sardar Ali, Riaz, Shafiullah and Gul Badsha of Michenkhel had robbed their house after fastening their hands and feet and beating them a couple of weeks ago.

Police arrested the accused but later three of them were released on bail by a court, the woman said. She said she and her husband had left their house as they felt threatened while the accused roamed in the area.

“Our life is in danger,” she said, demanding protect from the government and women’s rights organisations.
