Five troops injured by landmine

QUETTA, March 22: Five personnel of security forces were injured seriously in a landmine explosion in Lehri area while a heavy exchange of fire was reported between armed tribesmen and forces on Wednesday. Official sources said a vehicle taking security personnel from Sibi to Lehri had hit a powerful landmine. The five soldiers injured in the blast were taken to the CMH in Sibi.

Meanwhile, armed men launched a rocket attack on checkposts of security forces. Security forces retaliated and targeted the positions of the assailants. The heavy exchange of fire continued for over two hours.

According to other reports, a heavy exchange of fire was also reported between security forces and armed men in Dera Bugti area while rockets also exploded in Kahan and Sibi areas. No casualty was reported.

DERA BUGTI: District Nazim Dera Bugti Mohammad Kazim Bugti claimed that four security personnel had been killed and five others injured in a landmine blast in Chattar area.
