LAHORE, March 22: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) will shortly issue an SRO to resolve the issue of the sales tax refund to all the five zero-rated sectors which are paying 15 per cent sales tax on the import of raw materials. This was stated by Member Sales Tax CBR Shahid Ahmad while speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Wednesday.

He assured the LCCI members that the issue of delay in Adjustment advice had now been solved and it would now be issued in a single day as the technical hitches had been removed.

On the carry forward issue, he said that the Lahore Collectorate would soon arrange a workshop for commercial importers to educate them on the procedure.

He urged the businessmen to send their budget proposals to the CBR as early as possible as the exercise for the preparation of the new budget had been started.
