Women workshop


KARACHI, March 22: The women entrepreneurs from Islamic countries have lauded the role of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (Smeda) in organizing the first training programme for development of business skills among the women in the OIC member countries, says a press release.

While addressing the concluding session of the 4-day workshop held jointly by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Smeda and E-Commerce Gateway the speakers emphasized the need for holding such workshops in all OIC member states.

General Manager Smeda Syed Iqbal Anwar Kidwai delivered the welcome address while President E-Commerce Gateway Khorsheed Nizam and Assistant Secretary General of Islamic Chamber Ms Attiya Nawazish addressed the concluding session.

The workshop was attended by businesswomen from Bangladesh, Cameroon, Iran, Jordan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Singapore, Sudan, Uzbekistan and Uganda.
