KARACHI, March 22: Seven ships carrying steel billets, palm oil and to load rice and fresh fruits are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Kota Waris, APL Cairo, Sinar Botang and Satha Bhum to unload and load containers, BBC Greece to offload general cargo, Med Dignity to offload coal and Spirit-22 to offload oil were berthed.

Two vessels, Hanjin Busan and Johar departed on Wednesday, while Kota Waris, APL Cairo, Champion Pioneer, Spirit-2, Thor Captain and Al-Rabab are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 0.121m tons comprising 36,930 tons of export cargo including 1,709 and 1,561 tons of rice and cement and 84,017 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Chem Jasmine, with 2,000 tons of palm oil, Golden Jane, to load 4,800 tons of ethanol, QC Wisdom, with containers, Energy Falcon, to load 23,350 tons of rice, Orionis, to load 1,500 tons of fresh fruits, Shang Yuan Men and Med Carrara, with steel cargo.

The following vessels are due on Friday: Shintoku, to load lube oil, Conti Harmony, Kota Tabah to unload and load containers and Sanhope, with steel billets.
