MIRAMSHAH, March 21: Militants attacked two checkposts early on Tuesday morning, wounding four paramilitary soldiers, sources said. They said that the militants fired rockets on Ghusha and Thall pickets near Miramshah. Paramilitary forces retaliated and heavy exchange of fire started.

Officials said that four soldiers — Mohammad Safeer, Rafaqat, Kalam Shah and Sajid — were wounded in the attack.

In a related development, the agency’s political administration continued the crackdown on Afghan nationals and arrested 75 Afghans. The administration had warned Afghans to leave the area immediately.
