‘Sports City’ planned

HYDERABAD, March 21: Zila Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil on Tuesday said that district government was planning to establish a “sport city” over 100 acres of land near Hyderabad city to ensure provision of indoor and outdoor sports facilities at one place.

He was speaking as chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of Pakistan-India deaf cricket series opener which was won by Pakistan by seven wickets at Niaz Stadium.

Zila Nazim said that he had asked revenue department to identify site for project of “sports city” and hoped that work would begin shortly.

He said the project for establishment of girls cricket ground would be completed at Public school by June.
