LAHORE, March 21: MMA president and Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Husain Ahmad says the six-party religious alliance will remain intact notwithstanding differences among its members. According to him, the differences spoke of plurality of views in the alliance and a manifestation of diverse views honoured in its folds.
He was replying to a question at a workshop organised here on Tuesday for teaching staff of Masjid Maktab project.
He held feudal lords responsible for illiteracy in rural areas and regretted that capitalists maintained their luxurious lifestyle in the localities surrounded by slums of poor masses.
He lauded the role of Masjid Maktab scheme in promoting literacy, especially among the down-trodden people who could not afford formal schooling for their kids.
