PML centenary plan

PESHAWAR, March 21: Minister of State for Water and Power Amir Muqam has said that Pakistan owes its existence to the sacrifices rendered by the Muslim League. Speaking at a meeting held in connection with the centennial convention of the party, the said the PML’s NWFP chapter would fully participate in the event being held on March 23 in Lahore. He said the PML believed in serving the masses without any discrimination.

He said centennial celebrations of the party would also be held in the NWFP.

He said conventions would be held at district and tehsil levels to apprise people of the services and sacrifices rendered by the party and its leaders. He said arrangements for the celebrations had been completed.

He said increasing popularity of the party reflected people’s confidence in its policies.

He said it was vital for the stability of the country that President Pervez Musharraf retained his post after 2007 and assured him of the PML’s support in this regard. He expressed the hope that President Musharraf would be re-elected with a huge majority.

He said the PML would make a clean sweep in the general elections.—APP
