US society’s branch opened at GIK

SWABI, March 21: The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology has become the second university in the country to open a branch of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

The society is an international organization founded to advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, etc.

The GIK student branch has 41 student members and Dr Mohammad Sultan Khan is the faculty adviser.

Talking to this correspondent on Tuesday, Dr Sultan Khan said that NED University student branch was the first one to get itself registered with ASHRAE.
