KARACHI: IT Mela opens today

KARACHI, March 21: An “Awami IT Mela” will be held at the Annu Bhai Park on March 22. According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, the IT Mela is being organized by the Sindh IT department on the special directives of the Sindh IT Adviser, Noman Saigol, with the objective to create awareness about IT among the general public.

On the occasion, renowned foreign and domestic IT companies, mobile phone firms, and internet providers would put on sale their products on discounted rates.

Latest, technologies in the field of IT would be introduced to IT students for their benefit in education and further enhancing their knowledge.

Special software will also be distributed free of cost, while various varsities and training institutions would also participate in the event.

The holding of this event in the city is the joint effort of public-private participation and such event would also be held in different districts of the province.—APP
