KARACHI, March 21: The three sisters, Anam, Nida and Afshan, who recently embraced Islam, said on Tuesday that they were being punished for conversion, and their basic human rights were being grossly violated. In a letter to the media, they said they were born in a Hindu family and had converted after reading Islamic books and watching Islamic TV programmes.

Anam (previously Osha), Nida (Reena) and Afshan (Reema) said they were forced to revert when their parents came to know about their decision. Therefore, they left their home and started living in a seminary.

The sisters said they had not been forced to convert but were still being hounded, adding that they were being entangle in cases and forced to live in Edhi Home against their wish.—PPI
