KARACHI, March 21: Six ships carrying chemical and containers and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where half a dozen ships, including Hanjin Busan, MOL Asante and Thor Captain, to unload and load containers, Ocean Wave-1, to load rice, Champion Pioneer and Meriom Dream, to load molasses, were berthed.

Nine vessels, Bunga Kenari, Iran Kordestan, Iran Taba Tabaei, Kota Tampan, Ever Guide, Nanos, Olympic, Swat and Sea Pride-1 departed on Tuesday, while Johar, New Vega, MOL Anante and Merion Dream are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 78,957 comprising 14,869 tons of export cargo, including 1,644 tons of cement and 64,088 tons of import tonnage, was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Arun Khetaral PVC, to load naphtha, Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Y.M. Enegy, Hyundai Advance, with containers, Trust Busan, to load rice, and Med Carrara, with steel cargo.
