‘Cabinet to be reshuffled in two weeks’

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, March 17: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday said that the federal cabinet would be reshuffled in two weeks. He told journalists that negotiations were under way with coalition partners to fill vacant cabinet portfolios. But he parried questions about the final size of the cabinet.

Responding on questions about sugar prices and the role of ministers in the crisis, the prime minister said that the government had adopted a comprehensive strategy and was closely monitoring the situation. He said that as a result of that strategy, sugar prices had stabilized.

“No, there is no such thing”, said the prime minister when asked that Nawab Akbar Bugti had reportedly left the country after contacting the government.
