PESHAWAR, March 15: Ali Amir of Karachi Secondary Board created new 200 metres record, while Faisalabad were leaders on the second-day of the Pakistan Inter-board athletics championship at Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Ali improved his previous record of 22:13 seconds he had created last year by clocking 22:09 seconds.
Faisalabad, having 67 points, cemented their position to win the general trophy by winning gold medals in shot put, javelin throw, long jump and hammer throw.
Faisalabad were followed by Lahore Board with 62 points, Gujranwala (40-points) and Dera Ghazi Khan (29 points).

200m: 1. Ali Amir (22.09 Karachi Secondary Board), 2. Mohammad Naseer (Lahore Secondary Board), Mohammad Bilal (D.G Khan Board).
400m hurdles: 1. Mudassir Mushtaq (57:58 Lahore), 2. Mohammad Imran (58:66 Lahore), 3. Amir Shahzad (Gujranwala).
