KARACHI: Comprehensive training for policemen urged
KARACHI, March 14: Sindh IGP Jehangir Mirza has called for imparting training to police officials and personnel in such a manner that they should not only uphold the law, protect the life, property and honour of the people, but also exhibit courtesy and good manners to the public.
He was addressing the officers and personnel of the 63 passing-out parade held here at Police Training College on Tuesday.
“While performing responsibilities, you should utilize all professional capability, especially pay respect to human rights and take special care of women and children, and poor persons,” the IGP said.
Jehangir Mirza said that serving humanity was in fact a true purpose of life. He greeted the teachers for successfully completing the training of the police officers and personnel.
The IGP also paid tributes to those police officers and personal, who laid down their precious lives and successfully foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists and infamous robbers, which was the highest example of their sense of responsibility.
DIG Training and Inspection Mohammed Yameen, in his welcome address, said that Police Training College Saeedabad was a historic place where training could be provided to about 1,500 police officers and personal at a time.
He said police officers and personal of Motorway Police, Railway Police and from northern areas after receiving training in this college were serving the nation and the country with highest professionalism. — APP
