KARACHI, March 14: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and wheat were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday. Berth occupancy remained at 67 per cent as six ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, wheat and coke.

A cargo volume of 51,976 tons comprising 41,538 tons of import and 10,438 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailing was active as Hailey, Saudi Tabuk and Silver One left the port while New Toyakaze was due to depart.

Two ships, Keefan and Fair Spirit, with diesel oil and furnace oil were due to arrive, while Asian Gyro and Contship Indigo were expected to reach on Wednesday.
