ISLAMABAD, March 11: The Federal Services Tribunal (FST) on Saturday directed the PTV management to produce the educational certificates of its two contract employees whose appointment has been challenged by three senior news controllers.

The FST said the contractual appointment letters of Mr Ihsan Qadir Hashmi and Ms Quatrina Hussain and the leave record of Mr Shakoor Tahir, the outgoing director news of PTV, should also be produced, along with the laid down rules, procedure and criteria of eligibility for appointments in PTV, at the next hearing of the case on March 25.

At Saturday’s hearing, the counsel of the three petitioners presented certain documents to substantiate his allegation that the PTV management had fabricated some records to justify the contested appointments.

Relevant PTV officials were not available for comments.

Eighteen of the 25 senior and regular news professionals of PTV have joined the petitioners in challenging alleged “illegal appointments” in the organization.
