Man killed, 9 injured in Khyber Agency

LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), March 11: A man was killed and nine others were injured here on Saturday in different incidents. Akbar Gul, a pick-up driver was allegedly shot dead after an exchange of hot words with a Khasadar in the main Bara bazaar. The political administration said that the driver was killed in a cross-fire.

Gul Nus, the khasadar, tried to stop the pick-up driver but he sped away after exchanging hot words with him and got killed in firing. A passer-by was also injured in the firing.

Five persons, including a woman, were injured in an accident between a car and a trailer at Torkham near the Afghan border.

One Afghan Sabir also got injured in a scuffle with a tribesman of Sultan Khel in Torkham bazaar.

In another incident, one Noor Mohammad and his aged mother fell down from a moving pick-up in the Landi Kotal bazaar and received minor injuries.
