KARACHI: DSP suspended


KARACHI, March 11: Sindh IGP Jehangir Mirza ordered suspension and inquiry against DSP/SDPO and other police officials of Clifton police station on charges of misusing their authority.

The orders for suspension were issued to DSP/SDPO Clifton Raza Shah, SHO Clifton Inspector Zia Hassan, SIO Inspector M. Mobeen and ASI

M. Iqbal of Clifton police station.

The IGP took the action on receiving complaint from the chairman of Clifton and Defence Market Association Akbar Ali Rana and after receiving report from AIG Operations.

According to the complainant, Hussain Lakhani and Suleman Wasim Lakhani of Hussain Builders with the convenience of police registered a case under which not only the complainant was subjected to harassment but he was hand-cuffed and put in the lock-up.—APP
