KARACHI, March 11: Seven ships carrying rock phosphate and to load rice are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Oram Glory, oil tanker, Maersk Alabama, Thor Captain and Kuo Lung to unload and load containers, Pelgos, to load rice, and Jin Ace to offload coal were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was fairly brisk as 10 vessels departed. They are: Mol Silver Fern, Wan Hai-311, Kuo Lung, B.B.C. Gibralter, Phuong Dong 3,Hekifu, Swat, Rainbow Spring, Chemroad Wing and Legend Phoenik, while Yui Hsinang-627, Oram Glory, Maersk Alabama, and Iran Baabaei are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow falling to 55,594 tons comprising 11,099 tons of export cargo, including 1,419 tons of rice and 336 tons of cement and 46,485 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Troyburg, Sagamore, Ever Guard, with containers, Gulf Pride to load rice, Chitral, with rock phosphate, Eastern Treasure, with steel cargo, and Labbadi, with project cargo.

These vessels are due on Monday: Dubulti, to load 27,500 tons of molasses, Global Prosperity, Eax Sanctity, Song Yun He, with containers and Angelina the Great, with 39,000 tons of coal.
