Khaleda to raise water issues with India

By Our Correspondent

DHAKA, Mar 10: Bangladesh Prime minister Khaleda Zia is set to raise with Indian officials the sharing of Ganges waters and India’s plans to interlink rivers during her three-day official visit to India, which begins on March 20.

The prime minister will vent concern over the minimal amount of water it is getting at the Farakka point at the moment, Water Resources Minister Hafizuddin Ahmed said at a press briefing in Dhaka on Thursday.
