KARACHI, March 9: Seven vessels including a rice loader are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was light where two ships, Kuo Hung and Kota Wijaya, were berthed to unload and load containers after the departure of seven.

The departing ships included APL Dalian, Hyundai Sprinter, Monique, Orient Independence, Bunga Melati Satu and Altius, while Mercs Ruhunu, Kuo Hung, Lynx, Lady Jasmine, Kota Wijaya, Corin Thaikos, QC Wisdom and Swat are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side totalling 0.121m tons comprising 54,087 tons of export cargo and 66,919 tons of import tonnage respectively.

The following ships are due on Friday: Regent Park to load 7,000 tons of lube oil, Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Maersk Alamaba, Thor Captain, Kuo Lisng, Sagamor, with containers and Pelagos, to load 22,000 tons of rice.
