Sarfraz on goal spree

LAHORE, March 8: Three more matches were decided in the national Inter-club hockey championship on Wednesday.

Two-goal Abbas helped MAO College, Old Boys Lahore beat Mehran Club, Hyderabad, 4-1.

Junaid and Shafqat Rasool were the other scorers. Aamir got the lone goal for the losers.

Five-goal Sarfraz propelled Mitchell Club, to a 9-5 win against United Club.

The winners led the first half 5-2. Abbas (2), Zulifqar and Mukhtar were the other goalgetters. For the losers, Zahid (3), Asif (1) and Arslan (1) were on target.

Three goals each by Farooq and Rizwan enabled Gojra Sports beat Champions Club 11-1.

Rashid and Maqsood added two goals each while Imran chipped in with a goal. Peshawar’s lone goal came through Saifullah.
