ISLAMABAD, March 8: Unbeaten centuries by Bilal Asad and Ameer Khan spurred Islamabad Leopards to a six-wicket victory over Abbottabad Rhinos on Wednesday in a Silver League tie of the National One-day Regional cricket championship at the Diamond Club Ground.

Chasing a difficult target of 326, the Leopards recovered from a precarious 131 for three to complete a fine victory in the 49th over.

Bilal flogged the attack with 140 off 129 balls in which he smashed 14 fours. Ameer was as ruthless in scoring 111 from 100 deliveries. He struck six boundaries and a six. The two put on 195 for the fifth-wicket.

The visitors imposing total of 325 for four was made largely possible by Azhar Ali and Sajid, both of whom notched up fiery centuries.

Azhar’s 102 came off just 97 balls as he blasted 13 fours while Sajid posted his 114 from 118 deliveries hitting four fours and as many sixes.
