Big guns for bridge event

KARACHI, March 7: Top players of the country will compete in Candyland bridge championship to be held from March 23, at Aslam Bridge Hall, National Stadium. The four-day championship will spread over seven rounds of Swiss Movements with three rounds to be played on opening day followed by two rounds each on second and third day while the semifinals and finals will be held on March 26.

Karachi Bridge Association has planned the long duration event in order to develop stamina in national players required for international competitions. Over Rs100,000 will be distributed among the top four players of the event while non-qualifiers will be placed at the Consolation Round that will also carry handsome prizes.—PPI
