Imran’s hat trick earns full points for Madhu


KARACHI, March 7: A scintillating performance by Imran Senior enabled Madhu Mohammedan to earn full points in the Premier League with an exciting 3-2 win over Malir National while Young Ansari were held to a 2-2 draw by Baloch Mohammedan Malir.

Imran Senior, who played splendidly during the entire encounter, scored three goals. He found the net in the 10th minute but Pervez Ahmed grabbed the equalizer in the 18th minute.

Imran Senior struck twice within space of sixty seconds in 19th and 20th minute and made sure of victory for his team.

Shanawaz reduced the margin 2-3 for Malir National in the dying moment. Madhu Mohammedan are at 6th position on the table with 21 points while Malir National have 16 points to their credit.

Baloch Mohammedan Malir took the lead with Mohammad Omar slamming the ball home in the 19th minute from free kick. Young Ansari hit back in the second half when Abdul Hameed Afridi netted two fine goals.

Afridi levelled the score in the 36th minute and then gave a 2-1 lead to Young Ansari in the 41st minute. Afridi remains top goal scorer with 14 goals including two hat tricks.

Baloch Mohammedan Malir struck in the 64th minute when striker Abid Ali hit the target to earn a point for his team.

Both the teams share the first position alongwith Baloch Mohammedan Lyari with 24 points each.—PPI
