FAISALABAD, March 7: Scores of students of the University of Agriculture staged a demonstration within the university premises on the second consecutive day on Tuesday against the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for MSc students.
Students carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands marched through various campuses of the university and staged a sit-in in front of the vice-chancellor’s office.
They said the university administration had made it mandatory for MSc students to pass the GRE to continue their academic activities. The protesting students termed this test unjustified, and urged the governor to look into the matter.
